Job Summary

As the Head of Exchange Services FP&A, you will be responsible providing insightful financial analysis, strategic advisory, and driving financial performance across the Exchange Services segment.  The segment stands at the core of Accelerant, and the role will be heavily focused on revenue and margin analysis.  You will leverage your analytical expertise and technical skills to deliver clear, actionable insights to executives. Key Responsibilities

Revenue Analysis & Insights

  • Analyze key revenue drivers, market trends, and business performance to uncover actionable insights.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to outline unit economics, forecast revenue, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analyses to guide strategic decision-making.

Data Visualization & Storytelling

  • Create compelling dashboards, charts, and visualizations that distill complex financial data into clear, impactful narratives with a distinct call to action.
  • Present insights and recommendations to executives, enabling them to make data-informed decisions.
  • Utilize tools like Power BI, Pigment, and similar platforms to drive executive-level reporting.

Strategic Collaboration & Decision Support

  • Partner with segment leadership to develop financial strategies and drive business performance.
  • Manage quarterly forecasts and re-forecasting processes, ensuring timely, accurate, and transparent updates to business leadership.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
  • Partner with Distribution and Underwriting in negotiating commercial arrangements for new deals.
  • Work closely with other teams (e.g., Distribution, Actuarial, Corporate FP&A, Accounting, Tax, Treasury) to align segment-level initiatives with corporate goals.

Leadership & Process Improvement

  • Lead and mentor a team of FP&A professionals, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.
  • Support the development, implementation, and adoption of innovative forecasting, planning, and analysis tools.
  • Act as a thought leader in FP&A, contributing to company-wide efforts to optimize financial planning.

Experience And Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in FP&A, revenue analysis, or a related field, preferably in a technology or high-growth environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modelling, and data visualization tools. Prior experience with Pigment is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of key revenue metrics (ARPU, churn rate, LTV, NRR, etc.) and business drivers.
  • Thorough understanding of data structures and lineage.
  • Extensive experience with data visualization and storytelling to senior business leaders and executives.
  • Understanding of US GAAP reporting and planning with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or another analytical discipline.
