Software Architect

Accelerant is building a new platform that will serve as the backbone of how risk is exchanged in the future. The Product & Technology team is looking for an architect who is passionate about architecting high-quality and scalable software systems. As a Software Architect, you will play a crucial role in architecting, designing, and developing robust systems that power our platform.

If you join our team, these are some of the things you’ll be doing:

• Working closely with engineers, product managers, product designers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and design solutions that meet business needs.
• Taking the lead on architecting and designing new product features to keep engineering teams unblocked and accelerate product delivery.

• Hands on development activities including prototyping new capabilities, jumping in to help investigate complex issues, and helping the team accelerate important deliverables.
• Fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.

• Experience building and scaling web applications.
• Extensive knowledge of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.

• Experience with cloud technologies, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Desired qualifications: 

• Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with orchestration technologies like Kubernetes.
• Experience with SQL-Like databases and data caching strategies such as Postgres, Snowflake, and Redis.
• Experience with Typescript.
• Understanding of modern JavaScript frameworks.
