Accelerant, a data-driven risk exchange connecting underwriters of specialty insurance risk with capital providers, today announced that AM Best has assigned a Financial Strength Rating of A- (Excellent) and Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating of “A-“‘ to Accelerant Insurance UK Limited, its wholly-owned, UK-based insurance subsidiary.

The rating of Accelerant Insurance UK Limited follows regulatory approval from the Prudential Regulation Authority for the insurer to write a number of additional classes of insurance. Accelerant no longer operates under the Temporary Permissions Regime.
