Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Underwriter to deliver exceptional service to our MGA members across the UK and Europe. The job is an integral part of the Underwriting team; you will deliver industry leading portfolio management, onboard new member MGA’s and build strong underwriting relationships with existing member MGA’s. The role will involve reviewing underwriting guides, policy wordings, underwriting referrals, new product development and portfolio managing a book of business which you will be responsible for.

  • Demonstrate portfolio product knowledge and expertise, providing guidance, coaching, mentoring for your MGA members.

Qualifications:

  • University Degree preferable
  • Educated to at least A level standard
  • ACII qualified or making progress towards preferable

Experience: 

  • 10+ years’ experience in underwriting roles with a good understanding of portfolio management.
  • Experience of industry and market systems and processing desirable but not essential.
  • Experience of identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Experience of working to deadlines and managing other’s priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English required; other European languages are an asset.
