How do you contribute to Accelerant’s mission?
Like everything at Accelerant, my role is ever-evolving, but as President of Accelerant Underwriting Managers, I’m focused on ensuring all our various stakeholders have what they need to succeed. Whether this is a prospective Member, a current Member, a Risk Exchange Insurer, or an Accelerant colleague, I focus on ensuring everyone clearly understands our value proposition and how our team contributes to delivering creative and effective solutions to our Members.
What’s your favorite thing about working for Accelerant?
My favorite thing about working for Accelerant is the team we’ve assembled. Every day, I feel fortunate to interact with such a well-rounded group of talented professionals who are all focused on how we can serve our Members and help them succeed.
Describe Accelerant in 3 words: Innovative, Expert, and Professional.
What did you do before Accelerant?
Before joining Accelerant, I served in various Insurance Company underwriting roles, with the most recent position being SVP – Head of the US Delegated business unit.
What was your first-ever job?

Where did you grow up?
Atlanta, GA
How did you learn about Accelerant?
I was fortunate to be one of the first US Employees. I learned about Accelerant through networking with former colleagues who were excited to introduce the brand and strategy to the USA.
Who inspires you?
I’m inspired by teachers. I come from a long line of teachers, and I am always appreciative of those who dedicate their careers to teaching others. I am inspired by the determination, commitment, fortitude, and grace that teachers show every day, and I hope to take a fraction of those traits into my day-to-day interactions.
What are you most proud of?
I’m most proud of my family. I have an amazing wife and two teenage boys who surprise me (in a good way) every single day. I’m proud of our family unit and their positive impact on the world.
What do you love to do when you’re not working?
I have many outside interests, but my true love outside of work is playing competitive softball. I’ve been on the same sponsored team for eight years, and we’ve taken home the Decatur City Championship 3 of the last four seasons.
What’s on your bucket list?
Whitewater rafting in the Grand Canyon, camping in Yosemite, taking batting practice in a Major League Stadium
