Redefining Coverage Through Community: Inside OREP’s Innovative Model

When Isaac Peck acquired OREP in 2021, he set out to do more than just run a typical MGA. He wanted to build a modern insurance platform that delivers coverage and value-added services to niche professions like real estate appraisers, private investigators, home inspectors, and insurance agents — folks who are often overlooked or underserved by traditional insurers and thus left with generic coverage and little support tailored to their needs.

For nearly two decades, OREP had served the appraisal and inspection community with both coverage and content, publishing Working RE Magazine and providing education, discounts, and advocacy to help professionals thrive. By doing so OREP delivers not only tailored coverage but also trusted industry publications, helping professionals stay informed, compliant, and protected. This unique content-first model builds deep customer relationships and positions OREP as a true partner, not just a provider.

But when it came to expanding its unique model into new verticals, they needed a partner that could move at their pace—and match their ambition.

“We were building programs in very specific, underserved niches,” says Isaac Peck, President of OREP. “We knew the customers inside and out, and we had a unique way of reaching them. But it was tough to find a partner that shared our appetite for innovation or could help us grow these programs quickly.”

That changed in 2021. One of the programs they launched during this time was for private investigators. “At the outset, the numbers were small—under 100 policies—but the opportunity was there,” Isaac says.

The program has since scaled significantly, and today, OREP is launching new ones faster than ever before–most recently launch a program for insurance agents in 2024. “We’ve built five programs since 2021, and we’re on track to write close to 14,000 policies this year,” Isaac says. “They make it possible to go from concept to market in 60 to 90 days. That speed and flexibility is critical.”

Another key advantage: Digital tools. They provide full transparency into performance, enabling OREP to make data-driven decisions in real time. “We’re not guessing—we know exactly how our programs are performing,” Isaac says. “That’s helped us fine-tune our appetite, understand loss trends, and grow smarter.”

Looking ahead, OREP is doubling down on its mission. From continuing education and compliance support to advocacy and publishing, OREP has built a community around the professionals it serves—helping them protect their businesses, elevate their careers, and stay connected to an evolving industry.

“We’re not just selling a policy—we’re providing a full platform of support,” Isaac says.

Next up, OREP is planning to expand into additional professions and continue building a truly diversified portfolio of professional programs. “We have a playbook that works,” Isaac says. “And we are keen to keep growing.”
