Our CEO and Founder, Jeff Radke, recently sat down with Bryan Falchuk on the Future of Insurance podcast for the 2nd time. In their wide-ranging conversation, they chatted about what’s changing in specialty insurance, why the MGA model is entering a new phase, and how we have a long-term mindset at Accelerant.
As Jeff put it, many of the best underwriters now work at MGAs, but the systems around them haven’t evolved at the same pace. Capacity is still hard to access. Data is messy. And too much time gets spent managing processes instead of underwriting.
The bigger takeaway: Technology has changed the cost of specialization, and insurance is starting to look more like other industries that have already gone through that shift.
