Accelerant is building a new platform that will serve as the backbone of how risk is exchanged in the future. The Accelerant Platform SaaS team is looking for a Software Engineer who is passionate about creating and building performant backend services. As a Backend Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining robust backend systems that power our platform.
If you join our team, these are some of the things you’ll be doing:
- Working closely with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Taking full ownership of micro-services and having input into our future direction.
- Writing backend code in Typescript that is fully unit tested.
- Owning the security and availability of critical micro-services and infrastructure components.
- Moving fast while taking the time to ship high-quality code.

Desired qualifications:
- Experience with Typescript.
- Experience with orchestration technologies like Kubernetes.
- Experience with SQL-Like databases and data caching strategies such as Postgres, Snowflake, and Redis.
- Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform.

Accelerant is a fully remote company. Work where you’re most productive and fulfilled. This position is open to remote candidates across the U.S., Canada, UK, and Europe, who have the flexibility to work with our teams distributed across Europe and North America. Most cross-team collaboration happens in the mornings of the Eastern Time Zone.
