Accelerant is seeking a talented and motivated Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data analysis, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to derive meaningful insights from complex datasets. As a Data Analyst at Accelerant, you will play a key role in driving data-driven decision-making and contribute to the success of our organization.

How will you spend your time

  • Data Analysis: Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations.
  • Data Visualization: Create clear and compelling visualizations (charts, graphs, dashboards) to communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional Agile product engineering teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven insights.
  • Agile Methodology: Participate in Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews.
  • Reporting: Create reports and dashboards to communicate key findings and regular monitoring of key performance indicators.
  • Problem Solving: Address data-related issues and propose solutions to improve data quality and efficiency.

You will be successful if you have

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, statistics, mathematics).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL or Python.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Qlik Sense).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile product engineering team.
  • Familiarity with the insurance industry is a plus.
