Accelerant is seeking a highly experienced Head of Management Reporting to lead reporting for Financial Planning & Analysis as well as Board and Executive Reporting. In this critical role, you will collaborate with a diverse group of managers and leaders to collect, consolidate, analyze and report financial data across our global operations. Financial knowledge, US GAAP experience, Board and Executive reporting experience, strong people skills and insurance experience are required. Your role will contribute to the overall success of the Financial Planning & Analysis function, through cross-functional collaboration and by leading or contributing to a wide variety of strategic and operational initiatives. You will build relationships across many teams, simultaneously developing knowledge of our processes, workflows and data.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

  • Partner with leaders across the company, providing insightful reporting on US GAAP, OKR (Objectives and Key Results), and KPI (Key Performance Indicators) metrics for strategic decision support and business planning
  • Play a key role in communicating our financial performance to executive management, the Board of Directors and other relevant external stakeholders
  • Deliver analysis of actual US GAAP results against objectives and prior periods, and presents data in a logical and clear format so that management can develop action plans including explanations and recommendations
  • Manage overall budgeting and forecasting processes ensuring that the FP&A team has the support they need and delivers timely
  • Own the group consolidation of the forecast / budget
  • Support the development, implementation, and adoption of system solutions
  • Act as a leader within the FP&A and greater finance organizations
  • Interact with other Finance team members, controller groups, accounting, and business leaders in the preparation of reports and forecasts
  • Support senior management in business analysis and strategic initiatives
  • Lead continuous process improvement
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or another analytical discipline; MBA or other related master’s degree is a plus
  • 8-10 years of work experience in related a field
  • US GAAP experience is required
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to both understand and articulate the "story" that the numbers are telling; strong creative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact and partner cross-functionally
  • Consistently exercise independent judgment and discretion
  • Ability to adeptly manage peer relationships and act as a strong peer leader
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Insurance experience required; Experience with Property & Casualty Insurance strongly preferred
  • Experience with planning and GL tools such as Tagetik and Microsoft Dynamics
  • Experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational and communication skills and ability to manage daily workload while working under tight deadlines on high priority tasks
